Pinterest No Churn Ice Cream 3 Flavors

The recipes in this blog for no churn ice cream require minimal ingredients and is quite simple to make. On top of it being easy, it also is quite delicious. I hope you enjoy!

This is a Pinterest MUST to try!!!!

When I got married we received an ice cream maker as a gift. We tried it multiple times but I never enjoyed the texture and flavor that the ice cream turned into. Just recently I had found this recipe through Pinterest of no churn ice cream and I promise you it delivers. I am very frugal and love to save money so for me if this can cut down those hot summer ice cream trips by a bit than great while still getting to enjoy those popular flavors.

I first attempted the bubble gum ice cream (this is almost always my go to at the ice cream stand). I bought the bubble gum extract flavor off of amazon. It is quite potent so I still need to adjust how much to put in the recipe. I also made a mistake when buying the ingredients. Instead of buying SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK I bought evaporated milk (Hello Kendra can't you read a label). I than decided to attempt to turn it into the sweetened condensed milk (since we are in a pandemic and I couldn't waste what I bought...dam inner voice) which in the end was alright however it gave my ice cream a weird texture in your mouth. If you ever do attempt to create sweetened condensed milk it smells awful when its cooking on the stove .. I kept gagging and it takes soooooooo LONG to cool down. DO NOT PUT YOUR FINGER IN TO SEE IF IT IS COOL because I did and thought I'd lose my finger it was that hot.

Considering my second attempt turned out way better with the other two flavors below I have faith I can redeem myself with the bubble gum recipe.

INGREDIENTS

2 cup Heavy Cream

1 3/4 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk

Red or Pink Food Coloring

20 Gum Balls

1 tsp Bubble Gum Flavoring (available on Amazon.ca)

DIRECTIONS

Cut gum balls in half and set aside.

Whip heavy cream and food coloring until stiff peaks form.

Beat in condensed milk until color is uniform. Add additional food coloring if needed.

Spread 1/3 of mixture in loaf pan.

Distribute 1/3 of gum ball pieces on top.

Spread another 1/3 of mixture in loaf pan.

Distribute another 1/3 of gum ball pieces on top.

Spread remaining mixture in loaf pan.

Distribute remaining gum ball pieces on top.

Place in freezer for at least 5 hours.

The Oreo Ice Cream turned out phenomenal. It has this delicious creamy taste to it. It isn't too sweet and has this perfect texture. I could eat this till it makes me sick. It truthfully only took me about 15 minutes to make with my Kitchen Aid stand mixer doing all the work. My kids really found this ice cream delightful and would eat it in one sitting. Score 1 for Mom. Please ignore the hideous container I put the ice cream in but it was a perfect fit for my freezer.

INGREDIENTS 2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream 1 3/4 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk 12 oz Oreos 1 tsp Vanilla

DIRECTIONS Crush 2/3 of cookies in food processor. ( Or if you are like me just put them in a Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin) Crumble remainder by hand to get variety of size pieces. In a large bowl, whisk, heavy cream and vanilla on high speed until soft peaks form. Fold in condensed milk until blended. Fold in crushed cookies. Spread this mixture into a loaf pan. Cover with foil and freeze for 6 hours or until firm.

The Reese's Pieces Ice Cream recipe just note to put the sweetened condensed milk in a bowl to stir in the cocoa. That got very sticky and messy for me to do in a measuring cup that only holds up to 2 cups. As well, this recipe did take a bit more time than I expected since there are a few more steps to it. It was delicious however I find it to be sweet since I'm not the biggest chocolate fan but I will consider altering the recipe to my liking (perhaps less cocoa... haven't quite decided on what to do). Of course my kids review was that it is awesome. Anything with sugar and they think it's sweet almost always is a win.

INGREDIENTS

2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream

14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk

1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

1/2 cup Peanut Butter

40 Reese’s Miniatures

DIRECTIONS

Place Reese’s in freezer for to minutes to harden.

Add cocoa powder to sweetened condensed milk and stir until dissolved.

Heat peanut butter in microwave for 20 seconds to melt, then stir and set aside to cool.

In a large bowl, whisk heavy cream until soft peaks form.

Fold in condensed milk mixture until blended.

Unwrap and cut candies in quarters.

Fold 2/3 of the candy into the mixture.

Spread 1/3 of this mixture into a loaf pan then drizzle with melted peanut butter.

Repeat this for two more layers.

Take a knife and run through pan to swirl mixture.

Top with remaining candy pieces.

Cover with foil and freeze for 6 hours or until firm.

I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as me and my family have. Until next week with my next Pinterest Success or Fail.
